NetAmerica Completes Installation of IMS SuperCenter and NOC

SuperCenter Testing Begins in Ramp-up to Advanced Services Suite

Dallas, TX (January 23, 2012) – NetAmerica Alliance, LLC today announced that it has completed installation and has begun testing of its SuperCenter, which houses both the Alliance’s IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) as well as its 24/7  Network Operations Center (NOC). The SuperCenter is manned and run by NetAmerica personnel in support of Alliance Members who are deploying 4G LTE service in their respective license areas.

IMS is an architectural framework for delivering a full range of integrated Internet Protocol (IP) based multimedia services. IMS forms the basis for NetAmerica to fulfill one of its core responsibilities to its members, which is to continually drive increasing levels of member revenue by enabling those members to offer a rich array of services and applications to their customers. It does so with the personalized control necessary to simplify and tailor the customer’s communications experience to meet their specific needs. For independent carriers looking to protect their wireline and/or cellular business while including 4G LTE in their service offering in the move to true convergence, an IMS powered network is key.

Before the NetAmerica Alliance, independent carriers who owned wireless spectrum faced the quandary that while they needed an IMS architecture to evolve their network and a 24/7 operations center to monitor it, the capital investment, services development, and staffing costs were unaffordable for any but the largest carriers.
