Alan Alexander Joins NetAmerica as Sr. Director Network Ops

Brings Strength and Expertise in Radio Access Network

Dallas, TX (July 1, 2012) – NetAmerica Alliance, LLC, the leading provider of 4G LTE infrastructure, services and programs for rural independent communications service providers, announced today the hiring of Alan Alexander as Senior Director of Network Operations.

In his role at NetAmerica, Alan is responsible for managing RAN design, deployment, optimization, and operation for the Members of the NetAmerica Alliance, including training and test/measurement.

Alan has over 16 years of experience in managing the launch and development of state of the art wireless networks using both CDMA/EVDO and LTE technology.  He served as System Performance Director for the Verizon Wireless networks in North Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas markets during their initial 10 years of development.  In this role he personally directed the design and optimization of over 1,000 cell sites serving millions of customers.  He managed the consolidation of ALLTEL's CDMA network with existing Verizon Wireless network in the Texas market to create one cohesive system.

While at Verizon Wireless Alan took on a headquarter vendor management role for their Motorola markets including First Office Application, development projects, crisis management, feature development, and budget creation and control.  He then moved on to manage their Network Operations Center alarming team to develop and integrate all LTE/IMS data platform and performance alarms into the Verizon Wireless Network.

He holds a Master of Electrical Engineering degree from Virginia Tech, where he focused his studies on IS95 CDMA RAN systems at their Mobile and Portable Radio Research Group.
